Some information about the founders, Deacon Dennis and Elizabeth Chitwood.
Deacon Dennis Chitwood
Recipient of Aquinas Institute of Theology "Great Preacher Award 2011"
Deacon Dennis was ordained for the Archdiocese of St. Louis on January 28, 1984. He has served at four inner-city parishes, ministered to youth and young adults through Teens Encounter Christ, Awakening Retreats, REAP Team, Life In the Spirit Seminars, Prayer Groups, and the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
Deacon Chitwood is known for teaching and preaching nationally and internationally at conferences and missions. He has a Master of Theology in Pastoral Studies with a focus on Spiritual Counseling from Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri.
He has been Director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for the Archdiocese of St. Louis and Director of the Catholic Newman Center University of Missouri St. Louis and Liaison to the Archbishop of St. Louis for the National Charismatic Renewal. In addition to Genesis Ministry he is pastoral associate at a parish. Deacon Dennis is married and a father of three children and "Papa" to fourteen wonderful grandchildren.

Elizabeth has been involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal since 1975 as a Prayer Group Leader, Spiritual Director and formerly as co-coordinator of Healing/Deliverance Ministry for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. She has leadership roles in various retreats: Teens Encounter Christ, Awakenings, Life In the Spirit Seminars, Parish Missions ACTS and Women's Retreats. She currently is a Chaplain Assistant Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
She is a presenter at a Leaders Conference in Uganda, Kenya and at a Catechists Conference in Ghana, Africa. She is often asked to speak on the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit, The Truth and The Lie, God's Love and The Charismatic Renewal. She is active in Pro-Life efforts in the Archdiocese and Birthright Counseling. Elizabeth is married to Deacon Dennis and the mother of three children and "Granny" to fourteen wonderful grandchildren.
