Some information about the founders, Deacon Dennis and Elizabeth Chitwood.
Deacon Dennis Chitwood
Recipient of Aquinas Institute of Theology "Great Preacher Award 2011"
Deacon Dennis was ordained for the Archdiocese of St. Louis on January 28, 1984. He has served at four inner-city parishes, ministered to youth and young adults through Teens Encounter Christ, Awakening Retreats, REAP Team, Life In the Spirit Seminars, Prayer Groups, and the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
Deacon Chitwood is known for teaching and preaching nationally and internationally at conferences and missions. He has a Master of Theology in Pastoral Studies with a focus on Spiritual Counseling from Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri.
He has been Director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for the Archdiocese of St. Louis and Director of the Catholic Newman Center University of Missouri St. Louis and Liaison to the Archbishop of St. Louis for the National Charismatic Renewal. In addition to Genesis Ministry he is pastoral associate at a parish. Deacon Dennis is married and a father of three children and "Papa" to fourteen wonderful grandchildren.

Elizabeth Chitwood (1944-2015)
Elizabeth was involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal since 1975 as a Prayer Group Leader and Spiritual Director. She formerly was a Chaplain Assistant at Mercy Hospital St Louis and also was co-coordinator of Healing/Deliverance Ministry for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. She had leadership roles in various retreats: Teens Encounter Christ, Awakenings, Life In the Spirit Seminars, Parish Missions, ACTS and Women's Retreats.
She was a presenter at a Leaders Conference in Uganda, Kenya and at a Catechists Conference in Ghana, Africa. She was often asked to speak on the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit, The Truth and The Lie, God's Love and The Charismatic Renewal. She was active in Pro-Life efforts in the Archdiocese and Birthright Counseling. Elizabeth was married to Deacon Dennis and the mother of three children and "Granny" to fourteen wonderful grandchildren.
She passed from this life to her beloved Lord on February 5, 2015.

John and Mary Jane Gresham
Dr. John Gresham is Academic Dean and Professor of Theology at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis. He also teaches in the Paul VI Institute for Catechetical and Pastoral Studies in St. Louis. During the summer, John teaches in the Institute for Priestly Formation spirituality program for seminarians in Omaha. Mary Jane is a paraeducator working with special needs students in High School. She is currently working on a certificate in Spiritual Direction through the Christian Spirituality Program at Creighton University. John and Mary Jane have been married over 30 years and have 5 children. John and Mary Jane are converts traveling from Evangelical Pentecostal roots through the Anglican tradition into the Catholic Church. John told their story on EWTN’s Journey Home program in 2008. John is the author of Jesus 101 and Holy Spirit 101, both published by Liguori. John and Mary Jane began working with Genesis Ministry in 2012 and joined the ministry as partners in 2014.
